Biography
Nigel Jackson B.Sc (Hons), C.Geol, F.G.S
Since graduating in Geology from King’s College, University of London
in 1974 I have gained over 30 years experience working in a wide range of
technical, commercial and senior management roles in small, medium and
large businesses and joint ventures in the Mineral, Waste, Construction and
Development industries including property, manufacturing of concrete products, coal, industrial minerals, aggregates
and waste developments.
Prior to launching my new consultancy business, JACKSON Consulting, I was
Executive Director for Lafarge Aggregates where in addition to being a member
of the Executive Committee I had responsibility for Mineral Resources, Planning
and Estate Management, Strategy and Business Development, Communications
and Public Affairs.
Formerly I was Managing Director of Greenham Construction Materials Ltd the
quarrying, waste management and concrete product manufacturing subsidiary
of Taylor Woodrow PLC. I was also responsible for developing and coordinating
Taylor Woodrow’s Environment Panel.
I have also been a Director of many joint venture and joint Company Boards over
the last 13 years.
I am currently Chairman of the CBI Minerals Group, the Quarry Products
Association’s (QPA) Environment and Mineral Planning committee and a member
of QPA’s Policy Advisory Group and Council. I also represent QPA on the National Coordinating Group and English Nature’s Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund
Panel and I am Chairman of the QPA’s Restoration Guarantee Fund.
